I'm sorry for the lack of posting. I've gone country, I guess you could say. Really, just back to my hometown to spend some much needed time with my family. I live 800 miles away from them. A two hour flight or a 16 hour car ride, and a year away (it seems. Unfortunately, more often than not, a year is an accurate length of time that I'm away from them.).
The road where my mom lives was once lined with trees. It was also a dirt road for as long as I can remember. A few years ago, the city decided to pave the road, and cut down all of the 300 year old trees that provided a beautiful canopy of foliage. Sad. The upside is, across this road is a beautiful rolling pasture where two beautiful horses spend their days. On this particular trip home, I was quite taken by these creatures.
