{My wine key collecting dust.} |
I had a really great weekend. I think I ignored the fact the Monday and Tuesday existed. Don't you love weekends like that? The kind that last (in your spirit) for a few days after.
My dear girlfriend came into town. I had such a blast catching up. After I've visited with great friends, I am always am kicking myself for not getting together sooner. In my case, the closest, dearest friends I have, live a couple of states away. I guess I should remedy that here. But is it just me, or is it hard to make close girlfriends after college? (I know I should put more effort into this.)
Anyway. This friend is making some major changes to her life. She's hired a physical trainer and she's given up alcohol for sixty days. I mean, really, she's pushing the restart button on her body.
I am so impressed. She is showing so much strength. Especially on Sunday, in the face of wine and pizza. One piece of pizza (as others helped themselves to more) and water with lemon.
So with me already wanting to make some tweaks (hello, working out. uhh), I decided I would try to do these things too. No alcohol and potatoes/rice/bread/pasta/aka my favorite stuff for two weeks. Blame Sarah for her bad influence and my lapse in judgement.
Will I survive?
I guess we'll known soon (two weeks seems like foreeeevverrrr) enough.
