Though I haven't been remotely near the ocean this summer, the quintessential summer meal for me has always been shellfish with or without a light sauce, fresh vegetables, and crisp white wine.
Last night, feeling a bit landlocked, Victor and I craved seafood and pasta. For now, this will have to make up for the lack of ocean breezes.
After a quick search, I found this recipe from Giada.
The pasta was paired with a crisp Pinot Grigio and a simple arugula salad with bacon and olives, finished with a homemade vinaigrette.
After our meal, we relaxed on a patio, enjoying creamy gelato. Strawberry rose and lemon poppyseed were my flavors of choice, while V enjoyed Banana.
I hope this is the start to a relaxing weekend.
Happy Friday, you all.
