Comforts

Today the sky feels like it's holding a big blanket full of water.  I wish it would just rain already.  We have the dark, gloomy, clouds.  We have the thunder.  But the rain?  Not yet, at least.

As mentioned in my previous post, this kind of weather is fitting for my mood lately.  Honestly though, I don't mind this.  I think it allows me to find comfort in every way I can.

I reached in the fridge for comforting ingredients.  There weren't very many, so I made a salad.  With an egg on top.

{Poached egg, mixed greens, dijon vinaigrette, shaved Parmesan}

Sounds kind of crazy, but I think the French do it, so I'm doing it too.

It was fresh, yet hearty.  And comforting.
